La consultation a pour objet la réalisation d'opérations de fouilles archéologiques sur le terrain de la Zone d'activité économique (ZAE) à Carspach. Par arrêté SRA n°2025/A196 daté du 27 juillet 2025, le service régional de l'archéologie a prescrit la réalisation d'un diagnostic préventif sur cette zone. Celui-ci et a révélé un site d'une grande richesse marqué par une succession d'occupations humaines et militaires, dont les vestiges témoignent de l'histoire locale, du paléolithique à la Grande Guerre. Ces découvertes présentent un intérêt scientifique majeur qui justifient des investigations complémentaires et notamment des fouilles archéologiques plus avancées.
