Details

The Town of Gawler invites quotes from Respondents for the provision of Finniss Street Multi Storey Car Park - Structural and Stormwater Works.

The Finniss Street Multi Storey Car Park is an important public asset supporting access to the Gawler town centre. A condition assessment undertaken by Tonkin Consulting Pty Ltd in 2020 identified structural and stormwater deficiencies, including cracking to precast wall panels, floor slabs, slab edges and areas adjacent to internal columns, corrosion of structural bolts and Bondek metal formwork, and inadequate stormwater management resulting in water ponding and basement flooding.

Council has allocated funding in the 2026/27 financial year to address these defects and improve the long-term performance, safety and serviceability of the facility. The project will involve engaging a suitably qualified contractor to undertake structural remediation and stormwater improvement works.

The scope includes repair of concrete cracking, treatment of exposed/corroded reinforcement, remediation and protective coating of corroded Bondek, and replacement of corroded bolts and missing or damaged fixings. Stormwater works include upgrading the existing Level 1 sump, constructing concrete plinths and road humps on Levels 3/4 to improve surface flow paths, and designing, installing and commissioning a new pump station to discharge basement stormwater to the street drainage system.

The Contractor will provide all labour, materials, plant, supervision, temporary works, barricading and traffic management. The car park will remain operational, with localised work areas closed as required.

  • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
