Hankinnan kohteena on Eduskuntatalon ja Pikkuparlamentin ympäristössä sijaitsevien, eduskunnan kanslian vastuulla olevien viheralueiden hoito- ja kunnossapitotyöt lukuun ottamatta liikennealueiden talvihoitotöitä ja hiekan poistoja. Eduskuntakiinteistöjen, erityisesti Eduskuntatalon, arvoon ja merkitykseen liittyy viheralueiden hoitotöiden huolellinen hoito ja edustava lopputulos. Hoitotöiden laatuun ja istutusalueiden ulkonäköön sekä hoitotöiden sujuvuuteen kohdistuu sekä yleisön että median erityistä mielenkiintoa.
