Expression of Interest - Lease of the Lake Boga Catalina Cafe

Council invites expressions of interest (EOIs) from suitably qualified and experienced operators in a café/food outlet to enter into a lease agreement for the operation of the 'Catalina Museum Cafe' located in Lake Boga, Victoria.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated operator to establish a high-quality café that offers a welcoming space for both visitors and locals to connect, relax, and enjoy quality food and coffee.

Background information / Compatibility requirements

Lake Boga is a popular holiday spot with a picturesque 940 hectare lake, that is situated 16 kilometres southeast of Swan Hill. The town is known for attracting visitors for activities like swimming, fishing and water sports.

The premises known as the ‘Catalina Museum Café’ (Café), was built in 2018 as a joint project between the Lake Boga Lions Club and the Swan Hill Rural City Council (Council) to enhance the Catalina Flying Boat Museum and located at Willakool Drive Lake Boga.

Since 2018, the Café has operated periodically to cater to the local community and Lake Boga visitors.

Desired Outcomes ('Nice to haves', Conditions & Warranties, SLA's, Project benefits): Council seeks an experienced and motivated food and beverage operator to lease and operate the Catalina Museum Café (Café). The key objectives are:

• To establish a high-quality café that complements the Catalina Flying Boat Museum

• To provide a welcoming space for visitors and locals to connect, relax and enjoy quality food and coffee

• To enhance the tourism experience in Lake Boga through exceptional service and presentation standards.
