RFx ID: 35445813 Organisation: Waikato Regional Council Open date: Friday, 6 November 2026 5:30 PM +13:00 Close date: Tuesday, 8 December 2026 3:00 PM +13:00 Categories: 26000000 - Power Generation and Distribution Machinery and Accessories 39000000 - Electrical Systems and Lighting and Components and Accessories and Supplies 72000000 - Building and Facility Construction and Maintenance Services 81000000 - Engineering and Research and Technology Based Services Region: Waikato Overview: WRC is seeking suitably qualified and experienced supplier(s) to provide the design, supply, installation, programming, integration, testing, commissioning, and support of electrical, control, telemetry, and automation infrastructure for flood protection pump stations across the Lower Waikato and Waihou-Piako Schemes. The procurement will establish a long-term supplier arrangement to support the delivery of a multi-year programme of electrical renewals and associated telemetry upgrades across Council-owned pump station infrastructure. The programme is intended to improve the reliability, safety, operational efficiency, maintainability, and standardisation of pump station assets, while enhancing remote monitoring, alarming, and operational control capabilities. Operational drivers include ageing switchboards, reliability issues, limited fault visibility, difficult site access, health and safety risks, and the need for improved telemetry and automation across the pump station network. The procurement will comprise two separate programme packages: • Package 1: Lower Waikato Electrical and Telemetry Programme • Package 2: Waihou-Piako Electrical and Telemetry Programme

Before you bid on this tender

A quick checklist to help you decide whether to bid and prepare a compliant submission for this space satellite opportunity. Always verify the details on the official source.

  • Confirm the exact closing date and time (and time zone) on the official portal — deadlines are strict and can be revised by a corrigendum.
  • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
  • Prepare any earnest-money deposit (EMD) or bid security and the required formats early; missing or wrongly-formatted documents are a common cause of rejection.
  • Note how bids must be submitted (online or physical), in what format, and whether a digital signature or portal registration is required.
  • Watch for corrigenda and clarifications right up to the deadline — requirements and dates can change.
