Details
Egge skole eies og driftes av Lier kommune. Hovedbygningen ble oppført i 1921 og har senere fått flere tilbygg. Det seneste tiltaket ble ferdigstilt i 2024, med et nytt tilbygg tilknyttet hovedbygningen, innvendig rehabilitering, teknisk oppgradering og asbestsanering. Det er også etablert ny støyskjerm mot Vestsideveien.Lier kommune ønsker nå å rehabilitere den utvendige kledningen. Originale bygningsdetaljer skal istandsettes og males i opprinnelige farger. Ny kledning etableres enkelte steder. Det skal også legges nytt tak på den eldste skoledelen. Taket skal tilbakeføres med rød taktegl for å gjenskape byggets opprinnelige uttrykk.
