The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with MyGov, is inviting citizens to participate in the DPDP Act Logo and Tagline Contest. The contest seeks creative logo designs and memorable taglines that capture the spirit of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and communicate the importance of privacy, citizen empowerment, trust, and responsible processing of personal data. The initiative aims to create a distinctive visual and verbal identity for the DPDP Act awareness programme while helping strengthen public understanding of personal data protection and responsible data use across India. Participants can compete in the Logo Design Contest and Tagline Contest, with prizes of up to ₹1,00,000 available for winners.

About the DPDP Act Logo and Tagline Contest

The contest has been organized by MeitY in collaboration with MyGov to develop a recognizable identity for the DPDP Act awareness programme. The creative concepts should reflect important principles associated with personal data protection, including: - Citizens’ rights over their personal data. - Privacy and data protection. - Trust in India’s digital economy. - Responsible processing of personal data. - Citizen empowerment. - Safe and responsible use of digital technologies. The selected logo and tagline are intended to support public awareness and communication around the DPDP Act across India. Logo Design Contest The Logo Design Contest invites participants to develop an original visual identity that represents the key principles of the DPDP Act. The logo should communicate the ideas of privacy, trust, citizen empowerment, and responsible data processing in a simple and recognizable way. The design should be suitable for different applications and remain effective when reproduced across various formats. Logo Design Requirements

Participants should ensure that their logo is

- Simple and easily recognizable. - Scalable for different sizes. - Versatile for digital and print applications. - Available in both colour and monochrome versions. - Suitable for use with the contest tagline. - Original and created specifically for the contest. Participants must submit the logo in the required formats and provide the necessary design information. Logo Contest Prize The Logo Design Contest offers the following prizes:

- First Prize: ₹1,00,000.

- Two Second Prizes: ₹50,000 each.

Tagline Contest The Tagline Contest invites citizens to develop a short and memorable phrase that captures the purpose and spirit of the DPDP Act. The tagline should communicate the importance of privacy, personal data rights, trust, and responsible data processing in a way that is easy for the public to understand and remember. Tagline Requirements The tagline must meet several important requirements.

It should be:

- Brief and memorable. - No more than 8 words. - Effective in both English and Hindi. - Relevant to the core ideas of the DPDP Act. - Easy for the public to understand. - Suitable for an awareness programme. - Original and creative.

Participants must submit the tagline in both English and Hindi as Unicode text

Tagline Contest Prize

The Tagline Contest offers:

- First Prize: ₹1,00,000.

- Second Prize: ₹50,000.

Participants therefore have an opportunity to win up to ₹1 lakh by submitting a strong and relevant tagline. What Should the Logo and Tagline Communicate? Creative submissions should capture the broader purpose of the DPDP Act and its relevance to citizens.

Participants should consider themes such as

- Personal data rights. - Privacy. - Citizen control and empowerment. - Digital trust. - Responsible data processing. - India’s digital economy. - Public awareness. - Safe digital participation. The strongest concepts are likely to communicate these ideas clearly without becoming overly complicated. Required Submission Components Logo participants are required to submit more than a single image.

The submission should include:

- Logo in colour. - Logo in monochrome. - Logo lock-up with the tagline. - Tagline in English as Unicode text. - Tagline in Hindi as Unicode text. These components should be prepared according to the specified technical requirements.

Technical Specifications for the Logo

The logo must be submitted in one of the accepted file formats: - JPEG. - PNG. - PDF. The file size must be up to 4 MB and the resolution must be at least 300 DPI. The winner will also be required to provide the vector source file of the logo. Participants should therefore retain their original editable/vector design files throughout the contest process. Design Rationale Participants must provide a design rationale explaining the creative choices behind their submission. The design rationale must not exceed 150 words. It should include relevant information such as: - Concept behind the logo. - Meaning of visual elements. - Colour values. - Font details. - Overall design approach. A concise rationale can help explain how the design represents the objectives and spirit of the DPDP Act. Originality and AI Rules All entries must be original.

Participants must not submit designs that

- Are copied from existing work. - Use unlicensed elements. - Violate intellectual property rights. - Are entirely generated by AI tools. The contest specifically requires original creative work and does not allow entries that are generated entirely through AI tools. Participants should therefore ensure that any visual assets, fonts, icons, illustrations, or other elements used in their submission are appropriately licensed or created by the participant.
