Cork North Docks – Quay Wall Structural Survey

The aim of the survey is to: -Assess the current structural condition and integrity of the quay wall at the North Docks including all submerged elements. -Identify existing defects, deterioration, damage, and any risk to structural stability. -Determine what remedial works are required prior to commencement of the Cork North Docks scheme to ensure the quay walls are capable of safely sustaining construction loads and the additional loads imposed by the scheme, including the proposed approximately 800mm fill raise, associated surfacing overlay, and revised public realm loading. -Identify what further works may be deferred to a later stage to sustain the long-term structural integrity of the quay walls beyond the construction period. -Provide a prioritised, phased programme of remedial recommendations with sufficient detail to enable the Employer to plan and procure the necessary works.
