Details

Environmental and Social Safeguards: The Consultant shall monitor and support compliance with all applicable environmental and social requirements throughout design development, construction, testing and commissioning, Taking-Over, handover and the Defects Liability Period. This shall include monitoring implementation of the applicable environmental and social instruments and management measures; occupational health and safety; labour and working conditions; community health and safety; stakeholder engagement and grievance redress; gender and social inclusion; land acquisition and resettlement requirements; biodiversity and natural-resource protection; pollution prevention and waste management; and other environmental and social commitments applicable to the Program and the Design-and-Build Contract. The Consultant shall promptly identify and report significant environmental and social risks, incidents, and non-compliances to the Employer, and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
