The selected national firm, service provider or consortium will provide editorial, design, layout, digital publication and printing services.

1.1. Editorial review, proofreading and final manuscript preparation

The service provider shall:

· undertake a full editorial review of the Protocol, including front matter, executive summary, main chapters, annexes, tables, matrices, checklists and references; · edit the document for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, flow, consistency and readability; · ensure the use of official United Kingdom English throughout the publication; · ensure that all institutional names are written in full at first mention, followed by acronyms in brackets, and that acronyms are used consistently thereafter; · ensure consistency across the table of contents, list of abbreviations, definitions, headings, subheadings, annex titles, table titles, figure captions and references; · check cross-references between chapters, annexes and tables; · review references for consistency and completeness using the agreed referencing style; · remove formatting inconsistencies, typographical errors, duplicated text and spacing errors; · improve readability without changing technical meaning, legal interpretation, policy intent or institutional responsibilities;

· submit both a tracked-changes version and a clean edited version for review by UNDP and MEFT.
