The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a national NGO in Guinea to provide monitoring and evaluation support for the Global Initiative to Support Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ Conserved Territories and Areas (ICCA-GSI). The initiative focuses on biodiversity conservation, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, and inclusive participation in biodiversity-related decision-making. The assignment will support the effective implementation and monitoring of ICCA-GSI activities while strengthening the use of data, knowledge, GIS, and monitoring systems. A maximum budget of US$50,000 is available for the selected NGO for a 100-day service delivery period within a 24-month project timeline.

About the ICCA-GSI Initiative

The ICCA-GSI aims to strengthen the recognition and effectiveness of Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ Conserved Territories and Areas (ICCAs).

Monitoring and Evaluation Support The selected national NGO will provide monitoring and evaluation support for the ICCA-GSI initiative in Guinea. The selected organisation will help strengthen the availability and use of information for decision-makers and practitioners working on biodiversity conservation and related activities. Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Livelihoods The ICCA-GSI seeks to enhance biodiversity conservation while supporting sustainable livelihoods and resilience to climate change. The initiative recognises the importance of indigenous and local communities in conserving biodiversity and managing territories and natural resources.
