About Progress Inc
Progress Inc. is an international research, monitoring, evaluation, learning and advisory organization working with governments, development partners, UN agencies, international and national NGOs, research institutions, foundations and private sector actors. We support evidence-based programming through research studies, evaluations, assessments, technical assistance, capacity strengthening, learning reviews and proposal development across development, humanitarian and peacebuilding contexts. As our work continues to expand across countries and regions, Progress Inc. is establishing a Global Consultant Roster of experienced professionals who may be considered for upcoming national, regional and international assignments. We invite individual consultants to submit an Expression of Interest for inclusion in our consultant database. Purpose of the Roster The roster will help Progress Inc. identify and engage qualified consultants for future assignments, proposal teams and technical advisory roles. Consultants may be contacted when their profile matches a specific opportunity, technical requirement, country context or client need. Roster members may be considered for short-term or medium-term assignments, either remotely or in the field. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee a contract. Any future engagement will be based on a separate Terms of Reference, agreed scope of work, availability, timeline and remuneration. Areas of Expertise Progress Inc. welcomes consultants with experience in one or more of the following areas: - Baseline, midline and endline studies - Child protection, youth development and adolescent programming - Climate change, disaster risk reduction, resilience and humanitarian response - Education, learning assessment and education systems - Environmental and social safeguards - Food security, agriculture, agroecology and livelihoods - Gender equality, disability and social inclusion - Gender-based violence, protection and safeguarding - GIS, spatial analysis, remote sensing and data science - Governance, democracy, federalism, public sector reform and human rights - Health systems strengthening, SRHR, nutrition and WASH - Institutional assessment, capacity strengthening and organizational development - Knowledge management, documentation and learning products - Market systems, private sector engagement and financial inclusion - Migration, labour mobility, business and human rights - Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning - Peacebuilding, conflict sensitivity and social cohesion - Performance evaluation, impact evaluation and learning reviews - Policy analysis, strategic planning and public sector advisory - Proposal development, technical writing and bid support - Social protection and community development Geographic Experience We are interested in consultants with strong country, regional or global experience. This includes professionals with deep knowledge of local systems, field realities, institutional contexts, languages and development priorities. Consultants with experience in the either of the following regions are encouraged to apply: - South Asia - Southeast Asia - East Asia and the Pacific - East and Southern Africa - West and Central Africa - Middle East and North Africa - Europe and Central Asia - Latin America and the Caribbean Country-level experience, contextual understanding and local language skills will be highly valued. Who Should Apply We encourage applications from professionals who have: - Experience in research, evaluation, assessments, technical assistance, advisory work, capacity strengthening, field implementation or proposal development. - Strong technical knowledge in one or more thematic areas listed above. - Experience working with communities, government institutions, NGOs, development agencies, academic institutions, research firms, consulting organizations or donor-funded programmes. - Strong understanding of one or more country or regional contexts. - Good analytical, writing, communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work independently and deliver quality outputs within agreed timelines. - Fluency in English or another relevant working language. Additional national or regional languages are an asset. - Availability for short-term or medium-term assignments, either remotely or in the field. We welcome applications from senior experts, mid-level consultants, researchers, evaluators, thematic specialists, data specialists, facilitators, field coordinators and proposal development professionals. Possible Assignments Roster members may be considered for assignments such as: - Baseline, midline and endline studies - Evaluations, reviews and assessments - Qualitative and quantitative research - Survey design, sampling and data analysis - Policy and strategy reviews - Gender and inclusion analysis - Institutional and capacity assessments - Humanitarian, resilience and recovery studies - Field coordination and data collection support - Training, facilitation and capacity strengthening - Learning briefs, case studies and knowledge products - Technical proposal development and review - Short-term technical advisory support How to apply Interested consultants are invited to submit the following: - Updated CV. - Brief cover letter highlighting key thematic expertise, country or regional experience, languages and availability. - Samples of relevant work, where available. - Indicative daily consultancy rate, preferably in USD or local currency (optional). - Contact details of professional referees, where available.
