The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) invites Expressions of Interest (EoI) from eligible Women’s Rights Organisations (WROs), Indigenous Peoples’ organisations, networks and non -profit organisations to collaborate under the HI-CAS project in Bangladesh, Bhutan , and Nepal. The collaboration aims to co -design and promotes gender -responsive, Indigenous – and locally -led climate adaptation solutions.

The Integrated Climate Adaptation Solutions for the Hindu Kush Himalaya Region (HI CAS) is a four -year, multi -country initiative funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented in Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal. The project aims to strengthen climate -resilient, nature -positive livelihoods for rural women, Indigenous Peoples, Local Communities (IPLCs), and other disadvantaged groups through gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) -responsive, locally led climate adaptation solutions.

HI-CAS promotes integrated approaches combining springshed management, agrobiodiversity, renewable energy, capacity building, and knowledge sharing to enhance climate resilience, strengthen local institutions, and improve access to sustainable climate investments. The project aims to benefit approximately 40,000 people while recognising Indigenous women and IPLCs as rights -holders and change agents, supporting Indigenous -led climate adaptation grounded in local knowledge, leadership, and collective action.

Interested institutions or organisations are required to submit their EoI, along with a cover letter on the organisation’s letterhead (duly signed by the designated contact person) in the format specified below. Submissions must be made no later than 20 Jul y 2026 (11:59 pm Nepal Standard Time , UTC+05:45 ) to the following email address: [contact details removed], with the subject line: ‘EoI for HI -CAS WRO, IPLC’

Present the understanding of the TOR and background of project objectives, expected outcomes, scope of work and implementation approach. The E oI submission will be country specific . Organisations based in Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh should submit proposals only for their respective countries.

Clearly present the project implementation methodology . The basic requirements for the methodology development are outlined in the ToR. You are required to develop a detailed methodology and suggest ways of collaboration with HICAS’s partners and ICIMOD .

Clearly demonstrate your suitability for this assignment. Please carefully read the objectives, methodology, scope of work, deliverables, and required qualifications and experience as outlined in the ToR. Please mention prior experience in climate change, biodiversity, NbS (Nature -based Solutions) and/or community development with a focus on women from Indigenous /ethnic and most disadvantage d communities at the regional level in HKH. Please separately attach, or provide a link to, the most relevant work your institution or organisation has completed in the last 3 years that particularly aligns with the objective s of this work, and experience working with international organisations.

Share a list of team members clearly demonstrating how the proposed team’s composition and expertise align with the requirements of this assignment. Please provide a link to the most relevant work of the key team members that aligns with the objectives of this work. Please ensure your answer reflects careful consideration of the team composition and balance criteria outlined in the relevant section of the ToR. Separately attach or provide a link to CVs of all key team members (maximum two pages each) of the proposed team members.

The organisation is a registered organisation with audited financial accounts maintained for at least the past three years and is compliant with all applicable tax regulations in the country of registration. The organisation has provided copies of these financial and tax compliance documents along with the EoI .

The information provided in this EoI is correct and complete and will be used to assess the organisation’s suitability to proceed to the full proposal submission stage for this assignment. ICIMOD reserves the right to reject this EoI in the event of false or misleading information or any other Published by ICIMOD, the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development — an intergovernmental centre for the Hindu Kush Himalaya.
