Met deze aanbesteding wil de gemeente Gemert-Bakel en gemeente Laarbeek een opdrachtnemer (of meerdere opdrachtnemers) contracteren die met de inzet van buurtsportcoaches bijdraagt aan het stimuleren van gezonder te leveren, meer te bewegen en dichter bij elkaar gebracht te worden. Sport legt de verbinding tussen kinderen, jongeren, kwetsbare mensen en het verenigingsleven. Kennismaking met sport vergroot de kans van aanmelding bij een sportvereniging.

De opdracht is verdeeld in twee percelen. Inschrijvers kunnen inschrijven op één perceel of op beide percelen. Per perceel wordt  een overeenkomst gesloten. Indien een inschrijver voor beide percelen als economisch meest voordelige inschrijving wordt beoordeeld, kunnen beide percelen aan dezelfde dienstverlener worden gegund. In dat geval wordt één dienstverlener gecontracteerd voor beide percelen.
