Details

De gemeente Hoorn geeft binnen het project Poort van Hoorn invulling aan een omvangrijke herontwikkeling van het stationsgebied. In het stationsgebied zullen de komende jaren diverse ontwikkelingen plaatsvinden op het gebied van woningbouw, voorzieningen, mobiliteit en openbare ruimte. Als onderdeel van deze transformatie realiseert de gemeente aan de noordzijde van het Stationsgebied een parkeergebouw voor zowel de auto (P+R) als de fiets, inclusief de ov-fiets, dat fungeert als vliegwiel voor verdere stedelijke ontwikkeling.

De nieuwe parkeergarage, 6 bouwlagen en een fietsparkeerkelder, maakt het mogelijk om bestaande parkeerplaatsen op maaiveld te saneren en ruimte vrij te spelen voor geplande woningbouw en kwalitatieve inrichting van het gebied binnen het project Poort van Hoorn-stationsgebied. Hiermee wordt een compacte en efficiënte mobiliteitsoplossing gerealiseerd die bijdraagt aan de ambitie van Hoorn om zich te ontwikkelen tot een leefbare en bereikbare stad.
