Details

Het Groenplan voor Antwerpen ‘Levendig landschap1’ vormt het beleidskader voor het groenbeleid en -beheer van de stad. In het kader van de klimaatverandering en om het beleid en beheer voor groene kerngebieden op te stellen en bij te sturen, wil de stad de evolutie van de biodiversiteit opvolgen. In de afgelopen zes jaar werden de flora en fauna in 26 groene gebieden gemonitord. De bedoeling is om deze monitoring de komende 6 jaar te herhalen, om accuraat trends in de biodiversiteit vast te stellen. De stad doelt er in deze raamovereenkomst op om de monitoringscyclus te versnellen door alle gebieden in maximum vijf jaar te inventariseren, en uiterlijk in 2032 af te ronden. Ook wenst de stad de monitoring uit te breiden door een aantal nieuwe kerngebieden en soortgroepen te integreren. Verder wenst de stad een beeld te vormen van de lokale biodiversiteit in de wijken waarvoor de komende jaren Wijkplannen Water en Groen worden opgemaakt. De raamovereenkomst voor ecologische monitoring stad Antwerpen bestaat uit een vast en een voorwaardelijk gedeelte.
