Details
L’achat d’un nouvel autoclave vise à remplacer l’équipement vieillissant de l’animalerie SPF de l’Université de Liège, située dans le bâtiment B34. Cette structure hautement sécurisée, conforme aux normes FELASA, héberge plus de 350 lignées animales sous statut SPF, essentiel à la validité des recherches biomédicales. L’autoclave de 2500 litres à double porte traversante permettra de stériliser efficacement cages, litières, nourritures et matériels (plastique ou inox), avant leur entrée dans la zone contrôlée. L’autoclave traversant permet de stériliser le matériel entrant et de décontaminer le matériel sortant sans rupture de la barrière sanitaire entre le côté « sale » et le côté « propre », contribuant ainsi au maintien du statut sanitaire des animaux. L’autoclave doit être compatible avec les chariots (en acier inoxydable durable) utilisés par l’animalerie SPF, dont les dimensions sont de ≈ 135 cm de hauteur, ≈78 cm de largeur et ≈ 135 cm de longueur. L’intégration de l’autoclave, s’inscrit dans un système strict de biosécurité régissant l’accès, la circulation du personnel et l’introduction des animaux. Ce projet contribue à la rigueur scientifique, à la reproductibilité des données expérimentales et au respect des principes éthiques de l’expérimentation animale (3R). Il répond également aux exigences croissantes des collaborations nationales et internationales, notamment en matière de traçabilité sanitaire et de prévention des zoonoses. Enfin, il participe à la montée en qualité des infrastructures de recherche en soutenant la formation, la transparence et la compétitivité scientifique.
