ATM 26/95 SOra Main Works Package

Current ATM View - Antarctic ATM26/95 ATM 26/95 SOra Main Works Package Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart The Australian Antarctic Division, representing the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a Supplier for construction serives relating to the Southern Ocean Research Aquarium (SOra). After 23 years of operations, the current krill aquarium is reaching its ‘end of life’.  The need to replace this facility has been recognised by the Australian Government and an action to construct a new aquarium was included in the Australian Antarctic Strategy and 20 Year Action Plan (2016) and the Australian Antarctic Strategy and 20 Year Action Plan Update (2022). This Customer and the University of Tasmania’s (UTas) signed an Agreement for Lease in 2021 under which UTas is building a ‘cold shell’ to which Potential Suppliers are required to fit-out to create the new facility, the Southern Ocean research aquarium. The fit-out contains three works packages but this ATM is only in relation to Package 1. Package 1 is the general fit-out and includes installation of partitions, doors, floor and wall coverings, fixtures, equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems as documented within Schedule 1.  These works are relatively standard, utilising industry standard materials and do not require specialist expertise beyond typical commercial fit-out requirements. More detail may be found in the Statement of Requirement The supply must be provided in accordance with the Statement of Requirements (SoR) in theATM and subject to the terms and conditions set out in, or referred to, in ATM 26/95 SOra Main Works Package As per Annexure A - Item 7 a) to be informed by preferred tenderer's response.
