The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking partners to deliver integrated nutrition interventions in Cameroon’s Far North region to prevent all forms of malnutrition among vulnerable populations. The initiative focuses on children aged 6–23 months, pregnant and lactating women, adolescent girls, and other vulnerable groups through nutritious foods, social and behavioral change communication, community nutrition screening, local food production, capacity building, and impact assessment. The World Food Programme is inviting organizations and potential partners to express their interest in implementing a comprehensive package of nutrition interventions in the Far North region of Cameroon. The initiative is designed to prevent all forms of malnutrition among vulnerable populations by combining access to nutritious foods with improved feeding practices, community-based screening, local food production, and capacity strengthening. The approach aims to address immediate nutritional needs while strengthening local systems and community capacity to prevent and respond to malnutrition. Support may focus on improving knowledge, skills, and capacity related to the production and processing of suitable nutritious foods. Community-based nutrition screening will be strengthened to support the early detection of malnutrition. Improved screening can help communities identify individuals who may require additional nutritional support and facilitate appropriate referral.
