Oppdragsgiver skal anskaffe tjenesteytingsavtaler til Ellingsrudhjemmet og Langerudhjemmet.
Bakgrunnen for anskaffelsen er et ønske om et større innslag av private aktører i helse- og omsorgstjenestene. Dette for å legge til rette for innovasjon, mer mangfold, styrket valgfrihet og bedre ressursutnyttelse.
For å møte fremtidens behov må sykehjemssektoren tenke på nye måter å organisere tjenesten på. Oppgavedeling, nye arbeidstidsordninger som bidrar til kontinuitet i bemanning og bruk av teknologi er innovasjonsområder som vil vektlegges i konkurransen.
Oslo kommune er opptatt av at utviklingen skal skje gjennom et samarbeid mellom det offentlige, private kommersielle og private ideelle markedet.
