Oppdragsgiver skal anskaffe én komplett fremskutt enhet/lett brannbil for bruk i brann- og redningstjeneste. Kjøretøyet skal benyttes til hurtig førsteinnsats ved brann, trafikkulykker, akutte redningsoppdrag og andre hendelser innen brannvesenets ansvarsområde.
Kjøretøyet skal være kompakt, fremkommelig, driftssikkert og egnet for helårsbruk under norske forhold. Det skal ha plass til mannskap, slokkeanlegg, vann-/skumtank og nødvendig brann- og redningsutstyr.
