Details

Bolivia, through the Bolivian Highway Administration (ABC), has financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the "Road Infrastructure Program to Support the Development and Management of the Road Network". This call for International Public Bidding (IPL) invites eligible bidders to submit closed proposals for the acquisition of specialized road marking equipment.

Scope of supply

Main objective: Acquisition of two (2) road safety painting equipment, aimed at strengthening the Road Maintenance Program with PROVIAL Microenterprises.

Qualification Requirements and Conditions

Regulatory framework: International Public Bidding (IPL) conducted in accordance with the IDB's Policies for the Acquisition of Works and Goods.

Technical capacity and representation: Presentation of the formal authorization of the manufacturer (in case of not being a direct producer of the goods) and commitment to have representation or local agent in Bolivia with installed capacity to provide maintenance, repair and storage of spare parts.

Guarantee and preference: Mandatory presentation of a Bid Maintenance Guarantee in the amount of USD $422,926.53. No margin of preference will be granted to national contractors or consortia.

Management and submission of bids Access to the rules: The bidding documents in Spanish are available for free download through the official portal of the State Contracting System (SICOES) in www.sicoes.gob.bo.

Delivery modality: Physical delivery of proposals in a sealed envelope at the offices of the ABC in La Paz (Mariscal Santa Cruz Avenue at the corner of Oruro, La Paz Communications Center Building, 8th Floor, Attn: Pablo Edgar Gonzales, mail [contact details removed]). Electronic bids are not authorized. The opening will take place in a public event in person and online.
