The United States Government (USG) requires a Electric Gate solution for the outside of multiple buildings.  The contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment, labor, supervision and materials.  All work is to be performed in accordance with this SOW and is subject to the terms and conditions of the contract and as specifically cited in the contractor’s proposal.

This project shall include:

- 1 gate 21 foot long by 7 foot tall, metal chain-link with a round metal frame. - 21x7 foot metal chain-link gate with round metal frame with a motor to open and close. “Munitions driver would be able to open the MSA gates via keypad while still inside of their vehicle thus adding more security and control of all loaded explosives.” - Located North of Building 1286 - 1 gate 25 foot long by 7 foot tall, metal chain-link with a round metal frame. - 25x7  foot metal chain-link Gate with round metal frame with a motor to open and close. “Munitions driver would be able to open the MSA gates via keypad while still inside of their vehicle thus adding more security and control of all loaded explosives.” - Located North of Buildings 1281 & 1282 - 2 each motors to open and close the above gates. - Contractor shall attend site visit - Contractor shall work through the 42nd Civil Engineering (CE) for installation of temporary power connections - Start up and commissioning of the electric solution shall be completed within one (1) day of the execution of the contract - Contractor shall provide delivery and pickup of rented items - Contractor shall be responsible for all maintenance of provided rental items to include refueling - Contractor shall coordinate with 42CE and/or customer for install/removal of rental items - Provide any necessary certifications, drawings and manufacturer warranties - All work in accordance with (IAW) existing codes and regulations - Electrical installations must be completed by a certified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70. Flexible power cords must not pass through walls, floors, doors, or ceilings. Any penetrations in walls and ceilings must be appropriately fire stopped. Ensure a facility assessment is completed to ensure facility systems can support this request. Properly label breakers for emergency shutoff and power isolation. - Any hot work (grinding, cutting, brazing, soldering, hot tapping) requires permits. Contact the fire prevention office to obtain permits prior to work beginning Power Supply Locations: Power Supply for the 25’x7’ gate shall come off the electrical panel at either Bldg 1281 or 1282 depending on which side of the entrance driveway the motor is on. The cutting of concrete and (or) asphalt will be needed to get power conductors in duct below grade. Power Supply for the 21’x7’ gate shall come off the electrical panel for Bldg 1286, . Power conductor in duct can be direct buried in dirt with no concrete or asphalt crossings. Vendor shall call in Underground Locates to Alabama One Call (Call Before You Dig Folks – 811) and make a call in to Base CE to get Base Operations to locate facilities.
