The scope of work includes the operations and maintenance of Council’s drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater networks and the maintenance of selected facilities including the water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants. The scope includes a 365/24 response to network issues. Council intends to include $3 million of capital and renewal projects (within each full financial year) in the scope of work. The estimated value of the Contract is approximately $7.6 million per annum, including the $3 million of capital and renewal projects. In addition, the Contractor has the opportunity to competitively tender for additional work from Council’s capital works programme that is approximately $15 million per annum. An initial contract term of seven years with a right of renewal, subject to performance, of a further three years (maximum contract term ten years) is proposed. The Contract commences on the 1 July 2027. A generous mobilisation period has been allowed for in the tender programme. The annual contract value, opportunity to competitively tender for additional work from Council’s extensive capital programme, and the contract term make this an attractive proposition.
