Media and communications procurement covers everything from bulk printing and signage supply to full campaign development and event documentation. Creative work is usually evaluated on quality as well as price, often requiring sample work, a creative pitch or storyboard alongside the technical proposal. Printing and signage contracts, by contrast, are typically rate contracts decided on price against a fixed specification. Check who owns the copyright in delivered work and whether media buying is included in or excluded from the fee.
