SELCO Foundation is undertaking this study to identify and assess value-added enterprise opportunities from agricultural by-products across four priority value chains— Bamboo, Paddy, Jackfruit, and Pineapple . The programme aims to generate actionable insights on by-product utilization, commercially viable technologies, enterprise models, and market opportunities that can strengthen decentralized rural livelihoods.

The study will combine secondary and primary research to map by-products, assess technology and vendor ecosystems, identify existing enterprises, and evaluate opportunities for community-owned businesses. The findings will support SELCO Foundation in designing scalable interventions, fostering ecosystem partnerships, and promoting circular economy-based enterprise development for FPOs, SHGs, cooperatives, MSMEs, and rural entrepreneurs.

To undertake a comprehensive assessment of the Bamboo, Paddy, Jackfruit, and Pineapple value chains to identify by-product utilization opportunities, map technologies and vendor ecosystems, evaluate commercially viable enterprise models, and generate actionable recommendations for promoting sustainable manufacturing, circular economy practices, and decentralized enterprises across farmers, producer organizations, cooperatives, MSMEs, startups, entrepreneurs, private enterprises, research institutions, and government ecosystem partners.

The consultant/agency shall undertake the following activities across the four priority value chains— Bamboo, Paddy, Jackfruit, and Pineapple :

Interested consultants / organisations, with relevant experience (please include samples and/or references of the previous similar work as proof of experience) and based out of India are requested to reach out with a detailed proposal giving a brief on the methodology and the process they will uptake for this project, including budgets (with break-ups and explanation), timelines and milestones and submit the same to google form https://forms.gle/cVtb5pP9pGFQXmFJ7 on before 4th August 2026, 5 PM .
