The Islamic Republic of Pakistan herein after called the Borrower has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Solid Waste Emergency and Efficiency Project (SWEEP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Dump Site Closure Works at Jam Chakro Karachi. The Project Implementation Unit, SWEEP, Karachi now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of Dump Site Closure Works at Jam Chakro Karachi described above. Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using Request for Bids Works using Single Stage Two-envelope method, as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of PKR 50,000/-. The method of payment will be Pay order. The document will be sent by courier. Interested bidders may also download the Bidding Documents from project website www.sweep.gos.pk. Any addenda (as and if issued) will promptly be uploaded on the website. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 13:00 hours Pakistan Standard Time on 10th August, 2026 . Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. The outer Bid envelopes marked “ORIGINAL BID,” and the inner envelopes marked “TECHNICAL PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below on PIU – SWEEP Office, 13:00 hours Pakistan Standard Time and 10th August, 2026. All envelopes marked “FINANCIAL PART” shall remain unopened and will be held in the safe custody of the Employer until the second public Bid opening. All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of PKR 50,000,000/- Pakistani Rupee (Fifty million).
